• Always use the handle and built-in wheels to move the unit. Never lift the unit
by the fuel tank. If the unit must be lifted, always use at least two people and
always firmly grasp the unit by the front support and the inlet hopper handle.
• Never store the unit or the fuel container in a room with an open flame. Allow
the device to cool down before storing it.
Storage
Before storing the device, do the following:
1) Disconnect the spark plug wire (on a cold engine) to prevent accidental
starting.
2) Clean the machine and get rid of chips.
3) Leave the device on a flat surface in a well-ventilated room out of direct
sunlight.
4) Do not store the unit in places with ignition sources such as a stove, gas or
electric heater, etc.
5) Do not store the device in areas where exhaust fumes and toxic gases can
enter living spaces.
6) Apply covers to the loading hoppers and the discharge gutter.
7) If the machine will not be used for more than 30 days, drain the fuel from the
tank and carburetor. Remove the spark plug and pour approximately 5 ml of
engine oil through the cylinder plug hole. With the switch in the OFF position,
gently pull the starter rope several times. Screw the spark plug back in and pull
the starter rope until resistance is felt and do not pull anymore.
CAUTION: Do not store the unit with fuel in a closed room.
Before starting the machine after storage:
1) Check the levels of all operating fluids.
2) Check all parts that require maintenance.
3) Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes at idle before use.
