1. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
CTK and HIPPOTANK
are polyethylene containers for the transport of fuel approved by the Ministry of transport in accordance with ADR/
®
RID/ADN/IMDG/UN marking.
The range of tanks CTK consists of six models that differ according to capacity (150 - 220 - 330 - 600 - 900 litres) and the type of fuel that
can be transported. The HIPPOTANK
ene, a material that ensures excellent resistance against shocks, temperature, chemical and atmospheric agents.
HIPPOTANK
and all CTK shall be accompanied by:

– Aluminium filler cap 2"
– Safety valve
– Transfer unit
– Automatic gun
– Hubs for lifting in full with the forks of the forklift
– Vacuum lifting handles.
Each CTK and each HIPPOTANK
to review every 30 months with a similar procedure.
2. THE MANUAL: FEATURES
2.1. CONTENT AND RECIPIENTS
This manual, delivered by EMILIANA SERBATOI srl together with the CTK or the HIPPOTANK
the main legal and operational advice to address properly all the different situations (mostly on the road) of containers.
The user should read it carefully before using the CTK or HIPPOTANK
or at least violation of current regulations could derive, and as such subject to penalties, even serious ones, by the competent authority.
In any case, for the correct application of all the relevant provisions, we invite to the scrupulous respect of the ADR regulations, as well as
art. 168 of the Highway Code, and articles n. 364÷370 of the related implementing regulation and supplementary provisions.
Further to the knowledge of the technical aspects that EMILIANA SERBATOI Srl intended to highlight with this manual, users still have to
put the utmost caution in driving, aware that in any accidental situation may unfortunately occur, the presence of dangerous goods can
only aggravate the consequences.
It is therefore recommended:
– To drive only if in normal psycho-physical conditions not affected by alcohol, drugs, medicines, or by exhaustion or disease.
– To drive cautiously, moderating the rate within the limits imposed by signage, and avoiding any risky manoeuvre.
The manual should be available for reading and consultation, in particular for the relevant parties, to any person assigned to carry out one
of the operations listed below:
– Installation on vehicle (location, electrical connection, grounding),
– Filling,
– Supply,
– Maintenance,
– Disposal and/or demolition.
EACH OPERATOR WILL UNDERTAKE THE ACTIVITIES OF COMPETENCE ONLY AFTER READING THIS MANUAL
CAREFULLY AND FULLY UNDERSTANDING ITS CONTENTS, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO WARNINGS AND BANS
HIGHLIGHTED.
2.2. STORAGE
This manual must be kept perfectly intact and in an easily accessible place for the duration of the useful life of the CTK or HIPPOTANK
available to operators for consultation where necessary; you must deliver it to anyone who possibly succeed in various capacities in man-
aging or using (e.g. in case of sale).
In case of loss or deterioration of the manual, even if only partial, it is responsibility of the user to rebuild document integrity by forwarding
duplicate request to EMILIANA SERBATOI Srl, indicating the serial number of the CTK or HIPPOTANK
2.3. SYMBOLS ADOPTED
Important instruction, where non compliance determines a reduction in the safety levels provided. The symbol is
also used to stress advice or procedures where
non compliance could lead to damages to tank or to serious legal breaches.
Important instruction, where non compliance can lead to serious hazardous situations for the operator and/or
exposed people.
Danger of death for explosion. The symbol is used exclusively with dissuasive purposes of any risky behaviour in
determined extraordinary situations.
