The more the container is protected from excessive temperatures during transport (e.g. Transport in covered or tarpaulin bins), the higher
the percentage of usable filling, and therefore the amount of transportable diesel.
Failure to comply with the requirement may lead to the dispersion of dangerous matter during transport, or to the emission of flammable
vapours, which, in addition to constituting a serious violation of current environmental and road traffic regulations, may pose a hazard as
regards the formation of potentially explosive atmospheres or fire triggers.
In any case, avoid overfilling the target tank: always leave an adequate minimum vacuum that allows the free
expansion of the liquid
Please pay close attention to the opening of the CTK tank load cap because the tank may have an internal
overpressure. To facilitate the progressive venting, thus avoiding the risk of projection of the cap towards the
operator, firmly grip the cap (using work gloves) and unscrew it slowly taking care to keep the face at a safe
distance (arm stretched and face turned)
12.3. EMPTYING
Before starting emptying it is mandatory to provide
a good electrical connection (equipotential) between
the metal frame of the transfer group and the
different metal container into which the diesel is to
be poured, using, e.g. a cable with clamp terminals.
At finished operations and voltage not present,
remove the equipotentiality cable.
In the petrol versions is prepared a special clamp
cable.
To carry out the transfer, carry out in sequence the operations described below, referring to the vehicular connection condition (diagram of
§ 11.4.6). For ease of understanding, we propose the operations divided by type of tanks and with the indication between () the component
highlighted in § 9.2-Legend.
CTK SERIES
– Open the cover
– Make sure that the switch (6) of the electric pump (5) is switched to "O".
– Enable the power line through the circuit breaker (§ 11.4.6)
– Unroll the hose (8) and insert the gun (9) in the destination tank, after locking the lever in the "on" position.
– Turn the knob (4) to the "OPEN" position2
– Start the pump by placing the switch (12) to position "I"
– Proceed with transferring within max.2 minutes after ignition of the pump
– Check on the achievement of the desired degree of filling, or wait for the overflow shot in case of automatic gun.
After complete emptying, perform the operations described below in sequence:
– Turn off the switch on the pump body (pos. "0").
– Turn the knob (4) to the position "closed" (see note 2)
– Empty liquid still pressing down on gun (9), in order to discharge any residual pressure in the discharge pipe.
– Replace the hose (8), properly wrapped, at the location indicated by fig. § 9.2.1 and § 9.2.2, placing the gun (9) into the recess of the housing.
– Close the cover
– Disconnect the power line through the circuit breaker.
– When finished and at voltage not present, remove the equipotentiality cable and place it inside the pump compartment.
Attention: For the CTK 900 + 100 version only, the relative switch (19) must be activated (see figure in § 9.2.3) for the submersible
pump to function. Given the lack of the urea tank level indicator, ALWAYS make sure that there is product before activating the
switch
2 The "CLOSED" position corresponds to the faucet handle placed at right angles to the tube (see part. n. 4 in § 9.2); the "OPEN" one corresponds to the faucet handle
placed parallel to the tube (see part. n.4 in § 9.2).
