押エ台支点の変更を行う時は、必ずミシンの電源スイッチ
を切り、電源プラグをコンセントから抜いて、専門技術者
が行ってください。
標準の押エ台支点は図33のようになっています。
押エ台支点を上位置にすると送り効率がよく、ニットなどを縫
う場合に適しています。
押エ台支点を下位置にするとパッカリング防止に効果があり、
布帛などを縫う場合に適しています。

Changing the fulcrum on the presser arm

CAUTION
CAUTION
Always turn off the power, unplug the machine and then
well-qualified technicians should change the fulcrum on
the presser arm.
Fig. 33 shows the standard position of the fulcrum on the
presser arm. Raising the fulcrum enhances feeding efficiency,
and is suitable for knit fabrics. Lowering the fulcrum is effective
in eliminating puckering, and suitable for woven fabrics.

Remove screws , and then remove fabric guide

Loosen screw , and then remove screws
Change the position of bracket

Reinstall bracket with screws

Turn presser foot shaft in the direction of the arrow.

Attach presser arm to presser foot shaft

Set the presser foot, and then bring down the feed dog to
the bottom of its travel.

Move collar to the right while pressing presser foot shaft

(There should be a clearance of 1mm between presser foot

Check to see if the slot(s) of the needle(s) on the presser
foot is (are) aligned with that (those) on the needle plate.
If it (they) is (are) not, loosen screw
