6.4.2 Usage

The usage is described in the "Intelligent Multi Die"
mode.
A gap is provided for between the M-Die
and the universal plate. This gap allows for
placement of the M-Die onto the universal
plate without having to firstly remove the
modelling wax from the plate.
Global Scan
The placement of the model on the univer-
sal plate should be performed outside of
the scanner.
▷ Fasten the model to be scanned (upper or lower
jaw) centrally on the universal plate.
Always position models in such a manner
that they are within the scan focus.
▷ Position the universal plate into the scanner.
▷ Scan the models.
Positioning abutments
▷ Mount the M-die [4] onto the universal plate [5].
▷ Fill fixing compound [1] into the M-Die compart-
ments.
A P P L I C A T I O N T I P S
▷ At the position indicated in the software [3],
work the abutments to be scanned [2] centrally
into the M-Die (here compartment 7).

▷ Press the abutments into the fixing compound
in such a manner that they face flat and level
against the surface of the M-Die ([A]).
▪ Ensure that both fixing compound and abut-
ment do not project out above the surface of
the M-Die/compartment [B].
▪ Make sure that there is no gap between abut-
ment and compound [C].
▪ Do not press abutment too deep into com-
pound [D].
