Calibration of axes

NOTE:
Possible inaccurate measurements without cali-
bration or calibration with a damaged calibration
model!
The measuring accuracy of the scanner is only
guaranteed if the scanner is calibrated. For cali-
bration, a calibration model and the correspond-
ing standard values are included in the delivery
scope.
▷ Calibrate the unit
_ after putting into operation
_ during operation whenever the software
prompts this action.
▷ Use the calibration model only when in proper
condition.
▷ Check if the calibration model is damaged at
any central location.
▷ Do not start the calibration until the values
entered in the software correspond with the
values on the calibration model.
Following the set-up and connection to the PC, the
desktop scanner must be calibrated using the sup-
plied calibration model.

▷ Insert the calibration model
▷ Create a new patient case and start the scanner
software from the data base.
▷ Cancel the subsequent command prompt for
the 2D scan.
▷ Start the axes calibration under
Options > Axis calibration

▷ Follow the software instructions.
If required:
▷ Re-enter the calibration model values already
entered during the installation by clicking on
Application > Register Calibration Object
