DFST
2
Function and application
The stopper cylinder DFST is a double−acting cylinder. Pressurising the stroke air
connection 1 causes the piston rod to extend with the toggle lever mechanism.
The toggle lever slows the impinging material stream with the integrated shock
absorber. Pressurising the stroke air connection 2 causes the piston rod to
retract.
The stopper cylinder with spring reset (does not apply to DFST−...−D/DL) can also
be employed as a single−acting cylinder. This is achieved by screwing a sound
absorber into stroke air connection 1 on the underside. This makes sense if low
extension speeds are adequate and the piston rod is to extend during a pressure
drop.
The DFST−...−L with toggle lever locking mechanism allows the toggle lever to be
engaged in its end position.
The stopper cylinder DFST is designed for use
as an engaging fixed stop for achieved
defined stopping positions for the material
stream being conveyed (e.g. on picking and
sorting stations).
In buffer zones, the DFST separates the
waiting material stream.

Transport and storage
Take the weight of the DFST into
S
consideration. It weights up to 7 kg.
Ensure storage conditions as follows:
S
short storage times and
cool, dry, shaded, corrosion−protected
storage locations.
