Threading the machine
1. Place thread spool on spool pin.
Use the correct spool pin holder to
hold thread spool firmly in place.
2. Lift the presser foot, and turn the
hand wheel towards you until the
take-up lever reaches its highest
position.
3. Lead thread passing it first under
the thread guide. Next through the
upper slot, leading the thread to the
right and around (illustration 1).
4. Pass the thread through the second
thread guide, by inserting it under,
and then up from the left and over
the top (illustration 2).
5. Pass the thread around the tension,
so that it slips between the tension
disks (illustration 3).
6. With your right hand holding the
spool of thread, pull the thread
coming up the left side of the
tension up towards the top of the
machine, allowing the thread to
slide inside the hook. You will hear a
clicking sound.(illustration 5).
7. Pass the thread through the take-up
lever as shown in illustration 6.

Couture à l'aiguille
jumelée
Cette aiguille permet la couture de deux lignes
parallèles en une ou deux couleurs de fil.
Votre boîte d'accessoires ne contient pas
d'aiguille jumelée ni de porte-bobine auxiliaire.
Vous pourrez vous les procurer dans votre
magasin SINGER.
Réglages recommandés
Sélection de point: au choix
Position d'aiguille:

Plaque à aiguille: universelle (A)
• Remontez l'aiguille.
• Insérez l'aiguille jumelée, côté plat du talon
vers l'arrière de la machine.
• Enfilez la machine, comme pour la couture à
l'aiguille normale et passez le fil dans le chas
de l'aiguille gauche.
• Mettez en place le porte-bobine auxiliaire dans
l'orifice situé sur le dessus de la machine,
comme illustré.
• Enfilez normalement la machine avec le
second fil.
• Passez dans les autres guides-fils, sauf le
dernier, et enfilez le chas de l'aiguille droite.
• Placez les fils sous le pied presseur.
• Baissez doucement láiguille en tournant le
volant à la main pour vous assurer qu'elle
passe bien dans le trou de la plaque à aiguille.
Attention:
Surtout, n'utilisez pas une largeur de point
supérieure à celle qui vous a été
recommandée.
