7.4 TIG COLD WIRE TORCH CONNECTION
1. Connect the power cable of the Torch to socket (5).
2. Connect the GAS hose to connector (8).
3. Connect the torch switch plug (10A) to socket (10).
Torch switch signal is given by a close contact between
pin 1 and 2 of the plug.
4. In the case a water cooled TIG torch is used, connect
the water hoses "outlet and inlet", to quick connectors (4)
Warning! In case an AIR cooled torch is used, connect
the "Bypass" hose (19A) to quick connectors (4).
5. Connect cable (60) of the COLD WIRE FEEDER to
socket (7).
6. Insert external cold wire liner sleeve (57) into quick
release connector (53).
7. Unscrew the ceramic nozzle (55).
8. Insert the cold wire liner beak support (54) between
the body of the torch and the ceramic nozzle.
9. Screw the ceramic nozzle (55) back on making sure to
secure the cold wire liner beak support (54) to the
orches head.
10. Insert the external cold wire liner sleeve (57) on the
pressure clips (56).
11. Make sure the feeding rolls (62) are of the correct size
for the wire to use.
12. Load the spool of wire to use, in the wire spool support
(59).
13. Insert the wire into the wire guiding fitting (61).
14. Move the rolls pressure knob (64) and raise the support
levers (63).
15. Insert the wire until it reaches the external cold wire liner
sleeve (57).

16. Lower the support levers (63).
17. Move back the rolls pressure knob (64) into its original
vertical position.
18. Set the correct tension to the wire by rotating clock
wise the pressure knob (64).
19. Set the switch (58) in "forward position".
20. Turn On welding machine referring to CHAPTER 10
"STARTING AND STANDARD REGULATION".

21. Press "INCH WIRE" push-button (51) until the wire
comes out from the cold wire liner beak support (54).
7.5 CONNECTION TO BASE MATERIAL
1. Connect the ground cable to socket (9).
2. Secure the other end of the ground cable to the base
material, making sure that a good electrical contact is
established.
