MIG/MAG TORCH CONNECTION
1.
Connect the MIG torch to socket (66) on the wire
feeder.
If the AMP 500 DGT Torch is used, connect the 7-poles
plug to the socket (68A). For a description of AMP 500
DGT Torch, see Page 36.
In the case a water cooled torch is used, remember to
connect the water hoses "inlet-outlet" to the quick
release connectors (67).
Warning! In case an AIR cooled torch is used, connect
a "Bypass" hose to quick connectors (67).

Make sure the feeding rolls (71) are of the correct size
for the wire to use.
3.
Load the spool of wire to use, in the wire spool support
(69).
4.
Insert the wire into the wire guiding fitting (70).
5.
Move the rolls pressure knob (73) and raise the
support levers (72).
6.
Insert the wire until it reaches the MIG torch liner.
7.
Lower the support levers (72).
8.
Move back the rolls pressure knob (73) into its original
vertical position.
9.
Set the correct tension to the wire by rotating clock
wise the pressure knob (73).
10. Turn On welding machine referring to CHAPTER 10
"STARTING AND STANDARD REGULATION".

11. Press "INCH WIRE" push-button (74) until the wire
comes out from the head of the torch.

CONNECTION TO BASE MATERIAL
1.
Connect the ground cable to socket (9).
Negative polarity (-).
2.
Secure the other end of the ground cable to the base
material, making sure that a good electrical contact is
established.
