TIG INSTALLATION (DC or AC)
TIG COLD WIRE INSTALLATION (DC or AC)
NOTE: numbers shown below are referring to Fig. 1-2-3-4-5-6 of
chapter 6 COMMANDS DESCRIPTION (page 7).
7.1
FILLING UP THE COOLING RESEVOIR.
1.
Make sure that the switch (11) is in position "0".
2.
Unscrew Cap (22) and pour the coolant until the MAX
level indication is reached (21).
3.
Screw cap (22) back on.
Warning! When working with the cooling unit, it
should exclusively be used the coolant supplied by
Sol Welding.
7.2
SETTING UP THE GAS TANK
1.
Position the GAS tank on its support (20).
2.
Secure the tank to the generator with chain (13).
3.
Install the GAS regulator on the tank.
4.
Connect the GAS hose to the pressure regulator.
5.
Connect the other end of the GAS hose to connector
(17).
6. Open the GAS regulator.
7. Set the correct flow of GAS between 5
and 8 litres/min.
7.3
TIG TORCH CONNECTION
1.
Connect the power cable of the Torch to socket (5).
2.
Connect the GAS hose to connector (8).
3.
Connect the torch switch plug to socket (10). Torch
switch signal is given by a close contact between pin
1 and 2 of the plug.
4.
In the case a water cooled TIG torch is used, connect
the water hoses "outlet and inlet", to quick connectors
(4).
Warning! In case an AIR cooled torch is used,
connect a "Bypass" (19A) hose to quick connectors
(4).
5.
Turn On welding machine referring to CHAPTER 10
"STARTING AND STANDARD REGULATION".
