49. Make sure the support tops are locked in position. If the tops did not
lock, repeat Step 48.
50. Remove the straps from around the support tops.
WARNING:
Failure to use correct lifting methods could cause patient fall, injury, or
equipment damage.
51. With the help of another person, carefully remove the upper support
top.
52. Carefully remove the upper H-brackets.
53. Make sure the patient is in the correct position for the surgical
procedure.
Transfer a patient
WARNING:
Before you transfer the patient, make sure the brakes on the Allen®
Advance Table and the other transfer device are locked and the patient
and staff are fully prepared for the movement. Otherwise, patient fall,
injury, or equipment damage could occur.
54. Make sure that:
•
The brakes on the Allen® Advance Table and the
other transfer device are locked. (The locked
indicator on the Allen® Advance Table display is
green.)
•
The Allen® Advance Table is in
pendant control mode. (The
pendant control indicator on the
Allen® Advance Table display is
green.)
•
The patient and staff are fully prepared for the transfer.
55. Make sure the Allen® Advance Table support top and the surface of
the transfer device are at the same height.
