4 .2 Making the opening from the inside
Hull
The location where the opening has to come
made in relation to point 'A' can now be de-
termined.
• Drill a hole as precisely as possible in the
area on the centre line of the ship where
the opening has to come.
Apply a drill with a diameter of 3 mm.
This 3 mm hole is a reference for sawing
the opening from the outside.
• Draw a centre line on the outside of the
hull.
• Look from a point in front of the boat to
the keel to draw the centre line on the
outside.
Use the hole of 3 mm as a reference.
