: Remove the old V-belt and fit a new
V-belt in the cast arm.
: Guide the cast arm over the studs,
inserting the V-belt in the V-belt
groove at the same time.
: Tighten both collar nuts by hand
until the cast arm rests completely
against the crankcase without
tilting.
: Turn in the two screws and tighten
both the collar nuts and the screws.
: Continue as described in the
chapters headed "Assembling the
bearing and guard" and "Tensioning
the V-belt".

The cut-off machine can be mounted on
the STIHL cut-off machine cart without
any difficulty whatsoever.
The cart makes it very much easier to
work with the cut-off machine and is an
indispensable aid when
– repairing damaged carriageway
pavements
– applying carriageway markings or
– cutting expansion joints.

Together with the infinitely variable
cutting depth gauge wheel (special
accessory), the cut-off machine cart
ensures accurate, straight cut edges
and a constant cutting depth accurate to
within a millimetre, particularly when
working with diamond abrasive wheels.
