Be cautious by using instrument to rotate the eye. Especially with small diameter
Instruments, it could lead to a flexing or kinking of the instrument shaft.

If unwanted tissue gets engaged to the aspiration port, it should be released
by interrupting aspiration before moving the instrument. The Interruption of
aspiration will avoid traction or potential tearing of tissue.
•
Adhere to national regulations when disposing or recycling the product, its
components and its packaging.
3. Directions for Use
Examine any instrument for proper function after initial set up and after
re-configuration prior to surgery. Refer to "precautions and warnings" for insertion
into valved entry systems (valved cannula).
Backflush Handle in Passive Aspiration Mode
Set up: — Block the luer connector with the luer plug.
Use:
— Flute valve open: Passive aspiration
— Flute valve closed by finger: Passive Aspiration blocked
— Depress the flute valve by finger: Generates backflush to release engaged tissue
Backflush Handle in Active Aspiration Mode
Set up: — Hook the luer connector up to the aspiration line of the surgical system. For further
information refer to the DFU of the surgical system.
Use:
— Flute valve open: Passive aspiration
— Flute valve closed by finger: Aspiration is controlled by the surgical system
