3.3.3 ADJUSTING THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FOR OPENING THE
TOOLBARS
The hydraulic system of the side toolbars has a valve (Fig. 16)
that is suitably adjusted according to the size of the equipment
with the highest pressure that can be exerted on the system:
GIGANTE 400:
50 bar
GIGANTE 600-900: 65 bar
Above this value, the valve will discharge the excess circuit
pressure to guarantee that the whole structure remains
undamaged.
If, in normal conditions, the toolbars do not open, check whether
the tractor has valves that will allow the pressure of the hydraulic
circuit of the distributors to be increased.
Only after this check, will it be possible to work on the equipment
system, following the instructions given below.
The carrying out of these operations requires the presence of
two skilled persons, positioned as follows:
- one on the tractor to operate the hydraulic distributor that controls
the system;
- and, one near the equipment valve to adjust the system.
1) Tractor running, parking brake on and equipment lifted off the
ground.
2) Unscrew and remove the valve plug (1, Fig. 16) and slacken
the nut (2).
3) From the tractor, put the toolbar opening hydraulic system
under pressure.
4) Behind the equipment, using an allen key (no. 4, Fig. 17), turn
clockwise very slowly until the toolbars begin to move.
5) When the adjustment has been made, tighten the nut (2, Fig.
16) and insert the valve plug (1).
3.3.4 HYDRAULIC SOLENOID VALVE CONTROL UNIT
If the machine is equipped with a control unit, frame opening and
closing is controlled through a junction box (Fig. 18) which enables
the functions below thanks to a solenoid valve:
A) movement of the rear carriage;
B) movement of the right-hand side frame;
C) movement of the left-hand side frame.
This system enables using only one dual acting hydraulic
distributor in the tractor.
ATTENTION
Store the equipment in a dry and indoor place.
Should this not be possible, it is RECOMMENDED to cover it
with a rubber cloth paying attention to the electric devices.
If problems arise in the solenoid valve system, check the
connectors for oxide (1, Fig. 18).
