3.4.4 DOSING
ATTENTION
Figures 31 and 32 show the two possible configurations for
seed/fertilizer distribution:
1) SEED-FERTILIZER (Fig. 31);
2) SEED--SEED- (Fig. 32).
Replace the metering roller on the left-hand side and adjust
the overflow bulkhead (Fig. 29) when switching from one
configuration to the other.
The hopper is divided into two compartments: the capacity of the
seed compartment equals 2/3 of the total capacity; that of the
fertilizer or seed compartment, depending on the configuration
in use (Fig. 31 and 32), is 1/3 of the total.

3.4.4.1 SEED-FERTILIZER CONFIGURATION (Fig. 31)
When the SEED-FERTILIZER distribution configuration is
selected, correct metering is tested by adjusting each distribution
unit individually (i.e. only the tested transmission must be
engaged, the other must be disconnected):
- disconnect (A) to test seed metering;
- disconnect (B) to test fertilizer metering.
After these tests, connect both transmissions.
3.4.4.2 SEED-SEED CONFIGURATION (Fig. 32)
The values shown in the Distribution Table refer to the amount of
seed/fertilizer dispensed by one metering unit only. When the
SEED-SEED distribution configuration is selected, involving both
metering units, the metering units must be adjusted proportionally
with the capacity of the relevant hopper compartment.
For instance. Amount to be distributed equal to 210 Kg/ha:
- the RH side metering unit must be set for an amount of 140 Kg/
ha;
- the LH side metering unit must be set for an amount of 70 Kg/
ha.
This arrangement is required to empty both hopper
compartments in a homogeneous manner.
