USE AND MAINTENANCE
- Lubricate the transmission chains (Fig. 60).
- Grease all parts indicated by transfer nr. 16 ('GRASE') at page 48 of this leaflet.
- DAfter the first hours of work check that all the bolts are still tight.
- Check the tightness of the bolts on the listers (A-B, Fig. 61).
- Lubricate the transmission chains (Fig. 60).
- Before every new season, change the gearbox oil with "AGIP EXIDIA HG 68" (0.7 Kg.) as
follows:
1) remove the oil cap (C, Fig. 63);
2) drain all the oil from the gearbox from point D and collect waste oil in a suitable container;
3) fill the gearbox with fresh oil (0.7 Kg.) and close the cap.
- Make sure that the transmission rotates freely without any interferences.
- Operate the empty seeding machine, the air-flow frees the pipes from condensation and
removes eventual impurities (Fig. 62).
- During periods of use, check the oil level in the overgear and tank daily; top-up if necessary.
- Check the tightness of the bolts on the lister (A-B, Fig. 61).
- Clean and lubricate the transmission chains (Fig. 60), the gears and the chain tensioner.
- Periodically check the wear on the bushings (1) shown in Figure 64.
- Clean the distributor carefully and thoroughly (see cap 3.4.1).
- Thoroughly clean the entire distribution head (Fig. 65) as follows:
•
loosen and remove the wing nuts;
•
remove the cover on the distributor;
•
clean metal parts with a brush and plastic parts with a cloth;
•
put the cover back in place and close it with the wing nuts.
- Grease the row marker arm pin (Fig. 66).
- Grease the bevel gear pair of the Cardan shaft (Fig. 68).
- Carry out a complete oil change in the overgear and tank using, respectively, ESSO OIL SAE
W80-90 and OIL OSO 32.
