seeds.

USE AND MAINTENANCE
ANSWER
1) On compact and dry soil , lower the machine's
height from the ground by slackening the nuts
that compress the element pressure adjusting
springs (A, Fig. 1).
2) If the problem persists after the first solution
has been carried out, ballast the frame of the
machine to increase its weight as described
earlier in this manual.
3) Use the required cutter disc.
1) There is not sufficient air to carry the seeds.
Increase the oil pressure using the three-way
regulator (B, Fig. 2) - this will increase the
quantity of air.
2) The number of revs of the tractor is not
compatible with that of the step-up gear in
use.
3) During the sowing starting and planter
lowering manoeuvre on the headland, the
tractor revs fall considerably so losing
pressure in the distribution system.
4) Clogging of the coulters. This happens when
the planter is lowered into the working
position without making it move forwards, and
on wet soil.
5) Check for folds or loops in the seed delivery
tubes.
6) There are foreign bodies in the distributor or
the coulter.
1) The rear seed-covering wheel does not have
enough pressure to move the soil onto the
furrow. Increase the pressure by turning the
adjusting screw (C, Fig. 3)
2) The arm of the rear seed-covering wheel has
sideways play (D, Fig. 4). Slacken the lock
nuts and screw in the screws as shown in
Figure 4. When this has been done, tighten
the lock nuts again.
CAUTION: the rear seed-covering wheel
moves the soil tilled by the coulter onto the
seed planting furrow. Therefore the correct
position of the wheel is as shown in Figure
5.
