Norwegian Waffles
The Norwegians love heart-shaped waffles. This allows them to share them
more easily with friends. These waffles are delicately chewy in texture.

- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 tbsp. butter, melted
- 2 cups milk
PREPARATION
1. Mix all of the ingredients together in one bowl, adding the milk last. Mix well to
ensure the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
2. Preheat the waffle iron to 7 on the dial.
3. Place a large ball of dough onto the center of the plate, covering the whole sur-
face. Close the cover and turn several times so the batter spreads evenly while
cooking. Cook until brown, approximately 5 minutes.

Tromso is a town in northern Norway. The waffle, served with sweetened
cream or maple syrup, is a firmly established family tradition.

INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 7 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups milk
PREPARATION
1. Mix all of the ingredients together, adding the milk last.
2. Cover and let rest for 2 hours.
3. Preheat the waffle iron to 7 on the dial.
4. Separate the dough into 6 large balls, large enough to cover the plate surface.
5. Place a ball of dough onto the center of the plate, covering the whole surface.
Close the cover and turn several times so the batter spreads evenly while
cooking. Cook until brown, approximately 5 minutes.
