After removing food products from the trays, proceed with the maintenance of the trays and the appliance.
Preparing the yoghurt
The appliance allows for preparing yoghurt using milk and yoghurt bacteria cultures. Before preparing yoghurt, remove all trays
from the inside of the dehydrator, leaving only the drip tray at the bottom.
Prepare a dish that can withstand the temperature of this operating mode. The dish must be thoroughly washed and scalded. Pour
1 litre of milk into the dish. It is recommended to use pasteurised milk – unpasteurised milk should be boiled fi rst. You can use
cow's, goat's or sheep's milk. You can also use the UHT milk, but it has less nutritional value and may taste worse. The higher the
fat content in the milk, the thicker the yoghurt will be.
It is best to heat the milk to 40
C and place it in a dish, add a portion of the bacteria cultures and mix thoroughly. Place the dish in
o
the dehydrator, close the door and set the operating mode marked "Brewing" by pressing the "Mode" button.
The default setting for this operating mode is 8 hours at 40
o
C.
When preparing yoghurt, do not open the dehydrator door to prevent the mixture from cooling down. After fi nishing preparing the
yoghurt, cool it down and put it in the fridge.
Instead of yoghurt bacteria cultures, you can add some yoghurt from earlier or some natural yoghurt containing live bacteria
cultures.
Recommendations for drying food products
Dried pieces of fruit and vegetables can be used as snacks or as additives to the prepared dishes. Dried food products retain their
taste and nutritional value. Dried food products may diff er in appearance or taste from products available in stores, as preserva-
tives and dyes are not added during the drying process.
Before drying, it is recommended to note the weight of the products and then to note the drying time and temperature. This will
make it easier to determine future operating conditions.
The drying time of the products depends on: - the thickness or size of the food product pieces, - the number of trays used for
drying, - the number of products placed in the dehydrator, - air humidity in the surroundings of the dehydrator, - the personal
preference for the drying eff ects.
If uneven results are observed during drying, periodically change the position of the trays if the design of the appliance allows it.
Place dried food products in the containers once they have completely cooled down. The container for storing dried food products
should be tight. It is recommended to use vacuum containers. After placing the products in the container, it is necessary to tightly
close it and then suck out as much air as possible. Store food in containers in a dark and cool place. The storage temperature
should not exceed 15
C. Do not place dried food products directly in metal containers. Periodically check the condition of dried
o
food products.
If for any reason it is necessary to interrupt the drying process, remove the food products from the trays and place them in plastic
bags or containers and store them in a freezer. Before resuming drying, defrost the products. Do not refreeze defrosted products.
Appliance maintenance
CAUTION! All maintenance activities must be performed with the appliance's power supply disconnected. To do this, unplug the
power cord plug from the socket.
The appliance is used to prepare food placed directly on the trays, therefore care must be taken to maintain proper hygiene so
that the preparation of food is safe.
Wash the trays and drip tray with a jet of running water or immerse them in water. Use mild dish soap. Clean with a soft cloth, soft
sponge or soft brush. Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents due to the risk of dimming the tray surface and the cover.
After washing the tray and the drip tray, dry them thoroughly before placing them in the appliance.
The trays and cover are not suitable for cleaning in dishwashers or with a high-pressure water jet.
Clean the housing with a slightly dampened cloth, then dry it with a clean and dry cloth.
Caution! Never immerse the electric device (housing) in water or any other liquid.
Do not use solvents, corrosive agents, alcohol, petrol or abrasives for cleaning.
Clean the ventilation openings with a vacuum cleaner.
Before using the appliance for the fi rst time, turn on the appliance for thirty minutes at the maximum temperature without placing
food in the appliance after cleaning the trays, cover and housing. During this period smoke or odour may be emitted from the ap-
pliance. After fi nishing work, allow the appliance to cool down, then wash the trays and the drip tray again and clean the housing.
This will allow for removing residues of chemicals used during the appliance elements production.
Appliance storage
If the appliance will not be used for an extended period of time, disconnect it from the power supply.
During storage, keep the appliance indoors, and make sure it is not exposed to dust, dirt, or moisture. It is recommended to store
the appliance in its original packaging.
Store the appliance in its working position. Do not stack products in layers. Do not place anything on the product during storage.
