Preparatory work on site
5.2.1 Foundation
The foundation is the responsibility of the operator /
originator and is not part of this manual. All neces-
sary information is described in the manual "Prepar-
ing a foundation".

area for the selected product.

5.2.2 Upstream electrical installation
The tasks described in this section may only
be carried out by a qualified electrician.
DANGER
Fire hazard due to overload
If the upstream electrical installation is flawed (e.g.
supply line), there is a fire hazard.
u Design the upstream electrical installation ac-
cording to the applicable regulatory standards
and the technical data and configuration of the
product.

When configuring the supply line (cross
section and cable type), give due consider-
ation to the following local conditions:
n Type of installation
n Line length
u Route the supply line and the control / data line,
if applicable, to the desired location.
The products must be connected to a central router
or switch via an Ethernet cable (max. length 100 m)
in order to connect several products to form a net-
work. The wiring must be carried out in star topo-
logy.
5.2.3 Protective devices
The tasks described in this section may only
be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The following conditions must be met when in-
stalling the protective devices in the upstream elec-
trical installation:
