Electrical connection
The tasks described in this section may only
be carried out by a qualified electrician.
5.6.1 Network configurations
The product can be connected in a TN / TT net-
work.
The product can only be connected in an IT net-
work under the following conditions:
ü Connection to a 230 / 400 V IT network is not
permitted.
ü Connection to an IT network with 230 V ex-
ternal line voltage over a residual current circuit
breaker is permissible, provided that the max-
imum contact voltage does not exceed 50 V AC
when the first error occurs.
5.6.2 Power supply

u Strip the supply line.
u Strip conductors 12 to 18 mm.
Multiple products can be connected in
series (loop through supply cable).

When routing the supply line, comply with
the permissible bending radius.
Single-phase operation
u Connect the wires of the supply line to the ter-
minals L1, N and PE as per the terminal labelling.
u Comply with the connection data for the termin-
als.

The terminal on the right-hand side of the
two L1 terminals must be used for single-
phase operation.
u Set the product up for three-phase operation.

Three-phase operation
u Connect the wires of the supply line to the ter-
minals L1, L2, L3 N and PE as per the terminal la-
belling. A clockwise rotating field is required.
u Comply with the connection data for the termin-
als.

The terminals at the left-hand or right-hand
side can be used for three-phase operation.
5.6.3 Earthing the product
When preparing the foundation, the oper-
ator / installer is responsible for ensuring
that an effective earthing and lightning sys-
tem is provided and that the charging sta-
tion is connected to this system. Applicable
standards and statutory regulations, espe-
cially regarding protective earthing, must be
observed.
MENNEKES recommends using the founda-
tion earth electrode set that is available
separately.
