Inserting the SIM card
The tasks described in this section may only
be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Only valid for the product variants with modem.
ATTENTION
Material damage due to electrostatic discharge
The SIM card can be damaged due to electrostatic
discharge.
u Touch a grounded metal part before touching
the SIM card.
u Attach the sticker (included in the delivery con-
tents) to the SIM card. To do this, follow the in-
structions on the sticker.
u Remove the left-hand ECU (AF1).

u Insert SIM card in the micro SIM slot of the left-
hand ECU (AF1).
1 Follow the instructions "Insert SIM card into the
AMEDIO® charging station".
u Install the left-hand ECU (AF1).

Removing the ECU
The SIM card can be removed, for example in order
to insert the SIM card or inspect the type plate of
the ECU.

u Loosen the locking bolts (3).
