What to do
Ensure coffee grinds are tamped evenly.
Check there is nothing obstructing the Group
Head or Portafilter & clean.
Fill reservoir with water, then press the one cup
button to prime unit before brewing espresso.
The pump noise will decrease once water is
flowing through the system.
Insert the Water Reservoir into the back of the
unit, then press the one cup button to prime unit
before brewing espresso.
Remove the red packaging plug found at the
base of the Water Reservoir.
Different Pre-infusion Profiles make different
noise at the start of an espresso extraction.
Empty if the red Water Level Indicator appears
through the Drip Tray Stainless Steel Grill.
Always Keep Drip Tray in place during brewing
espresso as a small amount of water will be
purged into the drip tray under certain, normal
operation circumstances.
Ensure that milk is heated properly during
texturing.
See Tip for Milk Texturing.
See Care & Cleaning for cleaning methods.
Fill reservoir with water. Run hot water through
the Steam Wand to ensure water flows.
A Descaling Cycle is required.
