Use only LOOK cleats. Any other cleat could cause
malfunctions or even serious accidents that could
result in death. Before use, ensure that the cleats
are securely tightened under your shoes before
engaging. Attach the cleat under the sole of the
shoe only using the screws provided with the cleats.
Regularly check that the cleats have not shifted
under the shoe, especially if they have carbon soles.
Foot morphology varies from person to person.
Foot support on the pedals is part of it. However,
pedaling in supination (outer side of the foot lower
than the inner side) or pronation (inner side of the
foot lower than the outer side) causes premature
wear of the pedals, axles, cleats, and stress
during disengagement. This can lead to serious or
even fatal accidents. We recommend consulting a
specialist to determine the position of your supports
and make any necessary corrections.
Tension adjustment
The LOOK X-TRACK pedals are always delivered
preset at the minimum tension. Adjustment is made
at the back of the pedal, on the lever, with a 3mm
Allen key. By turning the key in the + direction
(clockwise), you increase the effort required to
disengage the cleat. The clicks help better control
the number of adjustment notches used. Leave the
tension at its minimum position until you are fully
accustomed to the system.

The adjustment cannot be made when the cleat is
engaged in the pedal. When tightening, an increase
in the required effort will indicate the maximum
adjustment. Once this resistance is reached, stop
tightening to avoid the risk of damaging the pedal.
AJUSTEMENT MINIMUM
AJUSTEMENT MAXIMUM
It is recommended to perform a full recharge of your
pedals before first use. A full charge takes about 2
hours.
During charging, ensure that the contact points
of the pedals are not dirty. Place the charger in
the correct orientation so that the charger prongs
touch the contact surfaces of the pedal. A flashing
LED indicator will show if the pedals are currently
charging. Its color (red, orange, or green) indicates
the charging status, and the green light stops
flashing when the pedals are fully charged. The
battery level is transmitted to your bike computer/
sports watch as you ride, and an alert is issued
when the pedals reach a low battery level (about
20% remaining). You can also check the battery
level using the LOOK app.
The initial battery life (60 hours of use) gradually
decreases over time. The battery capacity has been
rigorously tested by LOOK: under normal conditions,
it is reduced by less than 20% after 300 full cycles.
This corresponds to approximately 15 years of use
23
at 15 hours per week. The battery is not replaceable.
BATTERY AND CHARGING
To maximize battery life, ensure that:
- Pedals are stored in a temperate room at a stable
temperature.
Repeated temperature changes can accelerate
battery capacity loss.
In practice, avoid storing the pedals outside in very
cold or hot climates, or in a room where it gets very
hot in the summer.
- Pedals are never completely discharged, as this
can quickly and significantly reduce battery capacity.
When they reach a critical charge level, the pedals
go into "deep sleep" to preserve the battery and
must be awakened using the charger.
Be sure to check the charge level at least once a
month.
The charger is designed to be compatible with
most cranks on the market (Shimano, Sram,
Campagnolo, Rotor, ...). Note that there may be
interference between the charger and some covers
used in mountain biking.
