11. J 41413-200 has been calibrated to work with both the 150 PSI nitrogen regulator (Part No.
J 44466-10) and the 1 PSI nitrogen regulator (Part No. J 41413-12). The 150 PSI regulator is part
of the Fuel Line Shutoff Adapter Kit used for the cleaning of fuel injectors; the 1 PSI regulator is the
original regulator delivered with the J 41413 EVAP Pressure/Purge Diagnostic Station.
Based on your location and local climate, it may be necessary to make a slight adjustment to the
tester's output supply pressure before you use it for the first time. Once you make this adjustment,
you should not have to adjust the tester's regulator again, unless you change the nitrogen tank's
regulator. Follow these steps to determine if your tester's pressure regulator needs adjustment:
A. Connect the battery cables from the tester to a fully charged 12V battery.
B. Attach the nitrogen/smoke hose to the self-test port.
C. Set the NITROGEN/SMOKE valve on the front control panel to NITROGEN, and open the
pressure regulator on the nitrogen tank.
D. Press and release the remote switch.
E. Verify pressure is at 13" H
If pressure is not at 13" H

F. Remove the plastic cap from the regulator
located on the bottom of the tester. See
Figure 5.
G. Press and release the remote switch.
H. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to adjust the
regulator plunger until the pressure/
vacuum gauge reads 13" H
CAUTION: Carefully adjust the pressure regulator. Turning the regulator plunger too far
clockwise (CW) will cause the plunger to lock up; turning the regulator plunger too far
counterclockwise (CCW) will cause the plunger and spring to fall out of the regulator.
I. Disconnect and reconnect the nitrogen/smoke hose from the self-test port.
J. Verify pressure is at 13" H
K. Press and release the remote switch to deactivate the tester.
L. Replace the plastic cap on the regulator, and disconnect the nitrogen/smoke hose from the self-
test port.
