If the operator cannot read English, operating instructions and safety precautions must
be read and discussed in the operator's native language.
WARNING: TO PREVENT PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT:
•
Read, understand, and follow all safety precautions and operating
procedures.
•
Do not use this equipment in a manner not specified by the manufacturer.
•
Wear eye protection that meets OSHA standards.
•
Do not perform test near source of spark or ignition.
•
Correctly connect power supply cord to battery and chassis ground.
•
Use only UltraTraceUV™ Smoke Producing Fluid No. 504956.
•
The use of compressed gas is a potentially dangerous situation. Contact
your local compressed gas distributor for information regarding correct
procedures and precautions.
•
Use only clean, dry, regulated nitrogen. Input pressure: 1–160 PSI
(.07–11.03 BAR).
•
Close nitrogen cylinder valve after completing test.
•
Do not use shop air. Moisture and oil in shop air will damage tester.
•
Operate and store tester in upright position.
High Intensity White Light and Optional Ultraviolet Light (J 42220):
•
Use the white light or UV light intermittently.
•
If light is hot, do not touch the top part of the lamp or lens, do not place it near
flammable items, and do not put it away for storage until it cools.
•
Do not use a light if it is damaged.
