Do not lean over the appliance...
while hot steam is coming out of the steam
vents r, or
when you open the lid 1 and the contents
are still very hot.
Always lift the lid 1 slowly and away from
you so that the steam can escape to the back.
If you want to check that the food is cooked,
use a long handled fork or tongs.
CAUTION!
Never operate the appliance without a steam
attachment 5/4/3.
Make sure the steam attachments 5/
Note:
4/3 are in the correct order, as they are all
slightly different sizes. They are marked on the
handholds t with the number 1, 2 or 3. Place
the steam attachments 5/4/3 from bottom
to top in the order 1, 2, 3.

3) Put the liquid collection tray 6 back on the
base 9.
Note: You can also fill or refill the water
through the filling openings 8 on the handles
of the base 9 without having to remove the
liquid collection tray 6 .
4) Place the food in the steam attachments 5/
4/3. You can use only 1, 2 or all 3 steam
attachments 5/4/3. Be careful not to cover
the openings in the base plate z of the steam
attachment 5/4/3 completely with food to
allow the steam to circulate freely.
5) Place the steam attachments 5/4/3 on the
liquid collection tray 6.
6) Place the lid 1 on the upper steam attach-
ment 3.
7) Insert the plug into a suitable mains socket.
8) Set the control dial 0 to the desired time.
The appliance starts to heat up and the
operating indicator light q lights up.
Note: For a very short cooking time, always
turn the control dial 0 first until the operation
indicator light q lights up and then back to
the desired time. This is the only way to ensure
that a beep sounds even at the end of a short
cooking time.
Checking the cooking point
To prevent fruit and vegetables from becoming
too soft and meat or fish from becoming too
dry and tough due to an excessively long
steaming time, check the cooking point of the
food in between.
1) Carefully open the lid 1 by lifting it at the
back first to let the steam escape away from
you.
2) Remove the lid 1 from the steam attach-
ment 5/4/3.
3) Check the cooking point of the food with a
long handle fork or tongs.
When the food is ready, switch off the appli-
ance by turning the control dial 0 to 0 and
disconnect the mains plug.
