- Select the Motorcycle wheel dynamic balancing programme icon:
relating to this programme is displayed.
- Fit the specific extension on the inner measuring arm, i.e. A if the weight-holder device
is not installed, B if the weight holder device is installed (Fig. 18a).
- Set the wheel data as usual.
- Proceed as described for dynamic balancing.
Proceed as follows to balance motorcycle wheels dynamically using adhesive weights:
- Follow the instructions for mounting the motorcycle adapter described in the MOTOR-
CYCLE DYNAMIC PROGRAMME.
- Select the balancing programmes icon
- Select the Motorcycle wheel ALU balancing programme icon
Now, when in the centred position, the corresponding balancing planes are displayed
on the rim on the screen.
Proceed as described previously for the "Motorcycle Dynamic" programme.
- For the application of the adhesive weight, use 3 o'clock as a reference if the "H3" con-
figuration is active, 6 o'clock if the "H6" configuration is active or 12 o'clock if the "H12"
configuration is active.
Best results can be achieved if the adhesive weights are positioned with the outer edge
being flush with the rim edge.
Some rims have spokes so wide that it is not possible to place adhesive weights next to
them; a programme which divides the counterweights into two parts has been introduced
to solve this problem.
In this case, when the centred position is reached and it becomes obvious that the bal-
ancing weight will have to be applied in line with a spoke, proceed as follows:
- remain in the centred position;
- select the
programmes" icon);
- select the spoke dimension on the displayed window using the keypad: small, me-
dium, large or OFF (selection deactivated);
- confirm by pressing the enter button
