Delivery without fasteners (available as accessories). The install-

tion. The installer is solely liable for ensuring that the fasteners
are suitable for the respective brickwork and that the installation
work is performed properly. The respective installation informa-
tion from the manufacturer of the plugs must be adhered to!
1.7. Fasteners
! The awning fulfils the requirements of the wind resistance
class specified in the CE product mark (see operating instruc-
tions). When installed, these requirements are only met if:
the awning is installed using the type and quantity of
brackets recommended by the manufacturer (see sections
1.19 and 1.20 on pages 6-9)
the awning is installed taking into consideration the plug
pull-out forces specified by the manufacturer (see sections
1.19 and 1.20 on pages 6-9)
the information from the manufacturer of the plugs used

1.9. Climbing aids
! Climbing aids must not be attached to or leant against the
awning. They must be steady and provide adequate grip. Use
only climbing aids with a sufficiently high load-bearing capacity.
1.10. Fall protection equipment
! There is a risk of falling when working at height. Appropri-
ate fall protection equipment must be used.
1.11. Electrical connection
The awning may only be connected if the electric drive's
specifications match the electricity source (see operating in-
structions). The installation information included with the elec-
trical components must be followed.
The unit must be protected by an upstream
residual current circuit-breaker according to VDE regulations.
Only cable and plug connections with a protection class
of at least IP 54 may be used for the
electrical connection.
1.12. Partially installed awnings
! In the case of awnings that are partially installed at the fac-
tory – e.g. coupled systems or units without fabric – the parts
which are under spring tension (see marking on product) must
be secured against unintentional opening. This securing system
must only be removed once the complete installation process
has been completed.
There is a high risk of injury due to the marked awning parts
which are under spring tension!
1.13. Intended use
! Awnings may be used only for the purpose defined for
them in the operating instructions. Changes, such as attach-
ments and modifications, not intended by the manufacturer
may only be carried out with the manufacturer's written consent.
Applying additional loads to the awning by attaching objects or
through cord tensioning can result in it becoming damaged or
falling down and are not permitted.
