Mixed‐bed demineralizing resins cartridge and GAC FILTER
Many new generation Class B autoclaves are fitted with a conductivity meter to
measure the infeed water quality and they do not work if water has a content of
dissolved minerals over a given threshold. To supply an autoclave of this type with
water produced by the Machine it is necessary to install along the machine water
supply line a demineralizing resins cartridge preceded by an activated carbon filter
(GAC) to remove the chlorine dioxide from water.
Installation of the "Filter – Resins cartridge" assembly
The resins cartridge installation procedure is as follows:
Switch off the machine and close the cock on the tank.
Interrupt the hose connecting the water line dedicated to the
autoclave and fit the interrupted line with the "GAC filter‐ resins
cartridge" assembly by connecting the hose section from the machine
to the GAC filter and the hose from the autoclave to the resins
cartridge.
Connect the hoses of the water line to the filter‐cartridge assembly
and fit them fully.
Apply safety clips to the quick couplers.
Temporarily disconnect the filter from the resins cartridge and take
the filter free end on a basin or a big container.
Re‐open the cock on the tank and restart the Machine.
Run water through the filter until water coming out is completely
limpid.
Switch off the Machine and close the cock on the tank.
Re‐connect the filter to the cartridge by fully pressing the hose and
fitting the safety clip.
Re‐open the cock on the tank and restart the Machine.
Be sure of the absence of water leaks through couplers.
The Machine is now ready for use.
Replacement of the "Filter – Resins cartridge" assembly
The efficiency of demineralizing resins ensures the production of about 800l
of water.
