6.1.2 Warnings

The same CPU also controls a series of warnings which
make maintenance of the machine easier and, with your
help, prevent premature deterioration of the machine.
(See section 7 Spare Parts and Maintenance in this ma-
nual)
A001: This warning appears on screen M (fig, pg. 100)
when 50 metres of board have been banded. Figure A on
the warning plate indicates that all of the cutting ele-
ments must be washed down with CANTSPRAY (scraper
blades, profiling machine bits, edge trimmer blades and
edge feeder).
A002: This warning appears on screen M (fig, pg. 100)
when 200 metres of board have been banded.
The two figures, B and E, indicate that a general cleaning
of the machine is required. See section 7.8.
A003: This warning appears on screen M (fig, pg. 100)
when 400 metres of board have been banded. Figures F
and G indicate that the condition of the feeder belt must
be checked.
A004: This warning appears on screen M (fig. p. 100)
when 600 metres of board have been banded. Figures H
and I indicate that checks are required to ensure the tri-
A
mmer belt tension is correct and that the belt is in good
condition. See section 7.5.
A005: This warning appears on screen M (fig. p. 100)

when 1000 metres of board have been banded. Figures Q
and R indicate that the condition of the following must
be checked: scraper blades, profiling machine bits, edge

trimmer blades and edge feeder. If necessary the blades
should be replaced.
A006: This warning appears on screen M (fig. p. 100) af-

ter 100 hours of continuous use. Figures S and T indicate
the need to clean the glue tank. See section 7.9.
To cancel any of the warnings (A001......A006) simply
Q R
press button C once (See fig. p. 96).

00A7: These warnings appear on screens M and N (fig.
p. 100) when you wish to find out the number of hours
U V
worked or metres of edge banded since the initial start-
up of the edgebander.
These two parameters increase throughout the life of the
machine, except if controllers CPU1 and CPU2 are re-
placed as a result of a break down. In this case they will
restart the count from zero.
Figures U and V showing the warning screen indicate the
metres of edge banded and the time that the machine
has been operating for.
To see the number of metres of edge banded, simply
press buttons L and K (fig. p. 100) simultaneously for 2
seconds and warning 00A7 will appear on lower screen M
(fig. p. 100) while the number of metres of edge banded
to date will appear on upper screen N (fig. p. 100). When
this number exceeds 9999 metres the counter will return
to 0000 and on lower M screen the warning will change
to 01A7, indicating that 10000 metres must be added to
the reading on screen N.
To see the number of hours worked, first view the
number of metres of edge banded, as explained in the
previous section and then press either button L or K (fig.
p. 100). On upper screen N (fig. p. 100) the "hours" that
the machine has been switched on for will appear (to a
maximum of 9999 hours) and the "minutes" will appear
on lower screen M (fig. pg. 100).
To return screens M and N (fig. pg. 100) to their nor-
mal temperature control function, simply press the
buttons L and K again simultaneously (fig. p. 100).
Each of the errors and warnings detected by the con-
trol will be followed by an acoustic signal which will
not stop until the Error or Warning has been elimina-
ted by pressing the C button (fig. p. 100).
