only on the packing platform. Beforehand, it is necessary to
remove all its sides and the top part, as well as the 4 screws
that fasten the machine to its platform base.
Make sure that the means used to lift it is capable of suppor-
ting the gross weight of the machine (Fig. 10.1).
Lifting with a forklift:
Prepare forklift A, which must have the required capacity.
Insert forks B (Fig.10.1) in machine bases C (Fig. 10.2), until
the forks extend out the back by 15 cm.
Hoisting with an overhead crane:
Use the appropriate slings for hoisting D (Fig. 10.1), which are
of equal length (approx 2 metres).
Separate adjustable support F the distance necessary to con-
nect the slings.
Hook the slings around the bottom part of the bench, as
shown in the figure.
Hook the slings to bridge E.
Adjust slings D (Fig. 10.1), moving the overhead crane in short
movements, until it is stabilised.
Hoist and move the machine slowly and carefully, keeping it
from swinging, and place it in the selected work area.
The machine may also be moved using a pallet jack, inserting
the forks through the middle area of box G (Fig. 10.2). Make
sure that the forks extend out the back by 15 cm.
Once the machine has been unloaded, it may be necessary to
Operations involving lifting and moving the
machine must be performed by specialised
personnel trained in this type of manoeuvres.
During the loading and unloading operations,
the machine must be protected from any sort
of impact, in order to prevent damage to the
machine or injuries to people. No-one may
stand near the load or within a prudent ope-
rating range during the lifting and transport
phase. Carelessness in this regard may result
in injuries and irreparable damage.
The slings must be positioned as shown in the
figure, making sure that they are not caught
on any mechanism before performing the ope-
ration.
