Decommissioning
9.1

Temporary shutdown

In the event of lengthy periods of non-use:
Unplug the electrical connection.
Disconnect the pneumatic connection.
Drain and dispose off the test oil from the test oil
tank.
9.2

Change of location

If the EPS 118 is passed on, all the documentation
included in the scope of delivery must be handed
over together with the unit.
The EPS 118 is only ever to be transported in the
original or equivalent packaging.
Unplug the electrical connection.
Heed the notes on initial commissioning.
Fit transportation safeguards.
Disconnect the pneumatic connection.
Drain and dispose off the test oil from the test oil
tank.

Disposal and scrapping

9.3.1

Substances hazardous to water

Oils and greases as well as refuse containing oil
and grease (e.g. filters) represent a hazard to wa-
ter.
1. Substances hazardous to water must not be allo-
wed to enter the sewage system.
2. Substances hazardous to water must be disposed
of in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Oils are hazardous to water and must be disposed
of in the legally specified manner. Test oil as per
ISO 4113 is a category 1 oil. This category includes
recyclable, low viscosity and mineral oil. Used oils
of category 1 must not contain any foreign substan-
ces, e.g. used oil of a different category or gaso-
line.Test oil must be disposed of by commercial
used oil disposal companies and is subject to char-
ge. The corresponding refuse code number 54112
must be quoted to ensure proper disposal.

9.3.2
EPS 118 and accessories
1. Disconnect the power connection and remove the
power supply cable.
2. Disconnect the pneumatic connection.
3. Drain and dispose off the test oil from the test oil
tank.
4. Dismantle the EPS 118 and sort out and dispose
of the different materials in accordance with the
applicable regulations.
EPS 118, accessories and packaging should
be sorted for environmental-friendly recyc-
ling.
Do not dispose EPS 118 into household
waste.
Only for EC countries:
The EPS 118 is subject to the European
directive 2012/19/EC (WEEE).
Dispose of used electrical and electronic
devices, including cables, accessories and
batteries, separately from household waste.
Make use of the local return and collection
systems for disposal.
Proper disposal of EPS 118 prevents en-
vironmental pollution and possible health
hazards.
