Filling the injection chamber with
test oil
!
To assure correct operation, the injection chamber
must always be full of test oil.
1. Remove the clamping bolt (Fig. 5, item 6).
2. Remove the plastic cover from the hole for the
clamping bush (Fig. 5, item 2).
3. Removes the removal tool (Fig. 4, item 1) from the
injection chamber.
4. Remove the O-ring from the injector nozzle seat
(Fig. 4, item 2) with the removal tool (Fig. 4, item
1).
5. Unfasten the height adjusting clamping bolt
(Fig. 5, Item 3).
6. Push the injection chamber with the injection
chamber lighting (Fig. 5, item 4, 5) all the way
down.
7. Place the funnel on the injection chamber. If neces-
sary, adjust the height of the injection chamber so
that the funnel lies on the injector nozzle in front of
the injection chamber. Then adjust the height of the
injection chamber and secure with the clamping
bolt (Fig. 5, item 3).
!
If it is poured in too quickly, the test oil may run
out from the injection chamber.
!
Never fill the injection chamber with diesel fuel.
8. Pour the test oil (ISO 4113) through the funnel very
slowly and carefully into the chamber (Fig. 28). Fill
until the chamber is full to the top.
9. Add the O-ring to the injector nozzle seat (Fig. 4,
item 2).
"
EPS 118 is ready for operation.
i
After filling the injection chamber, a complete
CRI/CRIN or piezo CRI test must be performed. The
remaining air in the injection chamber is thereby
removed.
