Security mode
The security mode option sets the type of network security for the wireless network.
Security parameters in the Wi-Fi configuration wizard
Note WPA/WPA2 Enterprise is the recommended setting for creating a secure network.
If "WPA/WPA2 Enterprise" security is selected, there are two additional subcategories of wireless security that are
supported.
EAP type
The EAP Type setting allows for more enhanced security measures for your device. The EAP Type drop-down list
provides two options. LEAP, which is a much simpler security feature, only uses a username and password for
additional security, while PEAP-MSCHAPv2, a more complex security feature, allows for even more security options.
Username and password
The username and password fields give you the option of setting a unique username and password for your device.
Utilize the username and password settings to enhance the wireless security.
Completing the Wi-Fi configuration wizard
To complete the wireless wizard configuration settings:
1 Enter the SSID, or choose an SSID from the list of IDs, if supplied. The SSID of your device must be known in order
to proceed.
2 Select the type of network security for the wireless network.
3 Depending on your network security type, fill in the additional parameters for enhanced wireless security.
4 Click Finish at the bottom of the page when you are done filling in all fields. Messages are displayed while the
security parameters are being processed, and when the wizard is complete.
Note If the Wi-Fi connection does not establish (the LED keeps returning to Amber) confirm the correct settings to
be used with the IT staff. If in doubt test connectivity with an Access Point with a known configuration.
