Recommended separation distances
Use the following recommended separation distances between RF communications equipment and Connect WS.

Notes:
This table is an aid to quickly determine the recommended distance for typical frequencies and power levels. The
provided formula can be used to calculate the distance for other power levels, where P is the maximum output power
rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer. In case of multiple transmitters at
different frequencies the minimum recommended distance is the largest distance calculated from the different
methods.
These are generic guidelines for near field RF objects and may not apply in all situations. Actual field strength may be
impacted by reflection and absorption of any object, surface, and so on.
Field strength for far field radiation, such as cellular communication, cordless devices, mobile radios, broadcast radio
and TV signals cannot be predicted with this method. Only an electronic site survey of the Electric Field Strength can
assess the potential risk of exceeding the maximum field strength. If field strength can vary or may exceed the
recommended maximum values, the proper operation of the device should be monitored or other preventive
measures, such as relocation, reorientation or other measures may be necessary.
Any RF communications equipment, including any connected cables, should be kept at a distance from the Connect
WS, including any connected cables, that is larger than the recommended separation distance calculated from the
equation applicable to the power and frequency of the transmitter.
