Serial port settings

The Serial Port configuration page establishes parameters for serial ports to send and receive data. The Serial Port
configuration page includes the currently selected port profile for the serial port, and detailed configuration settings
for the serial port. The following are brief descriptions of the basic fields within the serial port configuration settings.
Note
To configure your serial ports, click one of the ports you would like to configure (outlined in red).

Description
The Description field specifies an optional character string for the port which can be used to identify the device
connected to the port.
