Vehicles with lift axle
If there are lift axles in an axle group these
must not be connected to KIMAX.
Experience has shown that connecting lift axles
to the KIMAX measuring system does not impro-
ve measuring accuracy as with lowered lift axle in
the axle suspension bellows the same air pressu-
re is set as with the main axle.
Here we have the advantage that with vehicles
with lift axles and separate lateral bellows control
(roll equaliser) one KIMAX axle load indicator
with two inputs is sufficient.

There is a sensor input for each side if there is a
roll control unit. Thus the control circuits on the
left and right are not influenced by one another.
This solution thus allows KIMAX I to be installed
on the following vehicles too
Vehicles subject to GGVS (vehicles for transpor-
ting hazardous goods)
Vehicles with an extremely high centre of gravity
(tankers, buses)
