NOTE
When settings have been completed the bevel section, check the
remainder of the Semi-Automatic screen to make sure all the other
data is correct. Then click or touch SETUP to cut the piece.
NOTE
SAVE a bevel piece in the same manner described above. Just
make sure all the data entered correctly before starting the SAVE
process.

Manual Axis Control

The primary purpose of this screen is to provide manual
control of all the axes as well as some other functions of
the machine.
The red and green indicator circles above them (1
on Figure 26). This array of solid circles indicates the
status of all sensors, axes, E-stops and motors on the
machine. Red indicates off and green indicates on.
This information is useful when diagnosing problems.
It is normal for these lights to change color during
operation. Some indicators will remain red during
operation of the machine and this is no cause for
concern. If it is determined that there may be trouble
with one or more of the sensors on the machine,
contact Alpine Equipment Customer Service at 1-800-
521-9790 for assistance.
The manual controls are on the left and across the
bottom (2 on Figure 26)
The system controls are on the right side (3 on Figure
26).

3.5.1

Axis Jog Controls

Axis Jog Controls – The controls are arranged in groups
according to general function. The following discussion
will look at each group separately (labeled 1, 2, 3 in
Figure 27).

The green numbers in the black boxes are the current
position of each axis.
JOG NEG and JOG POS – When these buttons are
clicked or touched the axis will move in the direction
shown. The axis will move only as long as the jog button
remains depressed. NEG (negative) and POS (positive)
have the following meaning for each axis:
L1 – Rev moves the lumber to the left.
Fwd moves the lumber to the right.
L2 – Rev moves the lumber to the left.
Fwd moves the lumber to the right.
A1 – Left turns the blade counterclockwise as
viewed from above.
Right turns it clockwise.
T1 – Rev moves the head to the back of the
machine.
Fwd moves it to the front.
Z1 – Up moves the head up toward the top of the
machine.
Down moves it down.
NOTE
B1 – Jogging functions are not used.
Jog L1 L2 – Performs the same function as Jog
L1 and Jog L2, however, both L1 and L2 will move
simultaneously

MOVE commands – These buttons function similar
to the jog commands, except that they allow the
destination of the axis to be set for movement
from its current location. This allows for more exact
positioning of some axes. Figure 27 and 28 show
the panel which is used to input the destination of
