6.16 E-Stop Troubleshooting

C A U S E
Cannot recover from E-Stop
condition
Thermistor overheating
(see warnings below)
WARNING
!
Resistor overheating is extremely rare under normal operating
conditions. The primary cause for resistor overheating is that due
to the line voltage being high at the saw. This is a VERY SERIOUS
condition that must be corrected. The location of the regeneration
resistors is shown in Figure 172.

DO NOT attempt to "hot wire" around the thermistors. This WILL
DESTROY very expensive electronic components in the motion
control system, run the risk of starting an electrical fire, and void
the warranty on the saw.
NOTE
Special equipment is required to correct overvoltage conditions.
Each overvoltage situation must be individually evaluated to
properly specify the necessary equipment.

about how to deal with this problem.
Regeneration Resistors

C H E C K
Check all E-Stop buttons on the
ALS (Figure 1) to determine if any
are pressed.
Check that three LED lights are
illuminated on the safety relay
module.

Return all E-Stop switches to
operating condition, pulling then
out and then press the blade reset
button.
If the relays are not illuminated
