BELT IS LOOSENED!
Step 9 – Loosen the idler pulley adjuster plate bolt and
slide the idler pully assembly to the left to remove the
belt. See figure 162.

Step 10 – Install belt, tension using Force on Idler as
shown in Figure 163.

The idler pulley plate slot allows moving the idler pulley
so the belt can be placed, followed by placing a force directly over
the idler pulley to obtain the proper tension to tighten the
belt to 23.4 lb. This requires 39 lb. of Force on the idler.
Tighten motor cover bolts.
Do not over tighten cover bolts.
Step 11 – Remove all tools, close door, & remove lock
out tag out devices.
Step 12 – Restart machine and home all axes.
Step 13 – After removing the actuator, follow the
cleaning and greasing instructions in the EXLAR
Manual (K-Series Motor Mount Roller Screw Actuators
Installation & Service Manual).
Specific instructions for this process can be found in the K Series
Manual Doc, Section 3.0 titled Maintenance & Service.
