Using the Tape Counter Indication
The Tape Counter Indication is convenient for the following
2 purposes: to check the Elapsed Tape Time (described below),
and to use the Memory Stop Function (m 138).
Checking the Elapsed Tape Time
The Tape Counter Indication shows the elapsed tape time both
during recording and playback.
You can freely reset this indication (return the counter to

[0:00.00]
). Therefore, by resetting the counter to zero when
you start recording or playback, you can check the tape time that
has elapsed from that point.
After displaying the [DISPLAY SETUP] Sub-Menu... (m 26)

Turn the [34] Dial to select [DISPLAY].

Press the [SET] Button to select [ALL].

Turn the [34] Dial to select [COUNTER
RESET].

Press the [SET] Button to select [YES].
≥When recording or playback starts, the elapsed tape time
is indicated in hours, minutes and seconds. During
playback of parts of the tape on which no recording has
been made, this indication does not change.
≥If you rewind the tape further than the tape counter
position [0:00.00], the minus sign [–] appears in front of
the Tape Counter Indication.

Contador de cinta
El contador de cinta sirve para dos propósitos: para verificar el
tiempo transcurrido en la cinta (a continuación) y para usar la
función de parada de memoria (l 138).
Verificación de tiempo transcurrido en la cinta
La indicación del contador de cinta muestra tanto el tiempo
transcurrido tanto durante la grabación como de la reproducción.
Se puede reponer libremente esta indicación (volver el contador

al [0:00.00]
). Por lo tanto, si repone el contador al cero para
iniciar una grabación o reproducción, podrá verificar el tiempo de
cinta que transcurrió desde ese punto.
Después de que aparezca el sub-menú [DISPLAY SETUP]...

Gire el dial [34] para seleccionar [DISPLAY].

Oprima el botón [SET] para seleccionar [ALL].

Gire el dial [34] para seleccionar [COUNTER
RESET].

Oprima el botón [SET] para seleccionar [YES].
≥Cuando graba o reproduce, el tiempo transcurrido en la
cinta aparece en horas, minutos y segundos. La
indicación no cambia en la reproducción de partes no
grabadas de la cinta.
≥Si se rebobina la cinta más allá de la posición de contador
[0:00.00] aparece un signo de menos [–] delante del
indicador del contador de cinta.
