Recording a Still Picture
(Snapshot Recording)
You can record a still picture for approximately 5 seconds at the
press of a button. This is convenient for example for recording
sharp, stable still pictures of signboards, maps, etc. in your
videos.
≥Since the still picture is recorded from the digital image
memory, the picture quality is slightly inferior to that of normally
recorded pictures.
≥To prevent picture distortion, do not move or shake the Movie
Camera during still picture recording.
After displaying the [CAMERA SETUP] Sub-Menu... (l 26)

Turn the [34] Dial to select [TOP REC
BUTTON].

Press the [SET] Button to select [SNAP].

Press the [MENU] Button to exit the menu.

Press the [SNAP] Button in the Recording
Pause Mode.
≥The image stands still and the [SNAP] Indication appears.
≥The still picture is recorded for approximately
5 seconds.
Shutter Effect Mode
If you set [SHUTTER EFFECT] on the [CAMERA SETUP] Sub-
Menu to [ON], the screen blinks briefly like an SLR photo
camera when you press the [SNAP] Button. This visual shutter
effect is also recorded.
≥During digital fading, the Shutter Effect Mode cannot be used,
even if you press [SNAP] Button. (l 84)
≥When using the Snapshot Function repeatedly, wait at least 3–
4 seconds before pressing the [SNAP] Button again.

Grabación de una imagen fija

Oprimiendo un botón puede grabar una imagen fija durante 5
segundos aproximadamente. Es conveniente, por ejemplo, para
grabar imágenes fijas nítidas y estables de carteles, mapas, etc.
en sus videos.
≥Como la imagen fija se graba de la memoria de imagen digital,
su calidad es ligeramente inferior a la de las imágenes
grabadas normalmente.
≥Para evitar la distorsión de imagen, no mueva o agite la
videocámara durante la grabación de una imagen fija.

Gire el dial [34] para seleccionar [TOP REC
BUTTON].

Oprima el botón [SET] para seleccionar
[SNAP].

Oprima el botón [MENU] para salir del menú.

Oprima el botón [SNAP] en el modo de pausa
de grabación.
≥La imagen se congela y aparece la indicación [SNAP].
≥Se graba la imagen fija durante unos 5 segundos.
Modo de efecto de obturador
Si ajusta [SHUTTER EFFECT] en el sub-menú [CAMERA
SETUP] a [ON] la pantalla destella brevemente como en una
cámara fotográfica SLR cuando oprima el botón [SNAP]. Este
efecto visual del obturador también queda grabado.
≥Durante el esfumado digital, el modo del efecto de obturador
no podrá utilizarse aunque usted oprima el botón [SNAP].

≥Si usa la función de instantáneas, espere 3–4 segundos antes
de volver a oprimir el botón [SNAP].
