Selecting the Correct Tape Length
To ensure that the Remaining Tape Time Indication displayed
during recording and playback is correct, you need to set the
tape length that matches that of the inserted cassette.
After selecting [TAPE2] on the [DISPLAY SETUP] Sub-
Menu... (m 26)

Press the [SET] Button to select the correct
tape length.
≥The selected tape length is marked with the [1] Mark.
≥The Tape Length Indications change in the following order:
[20]
[220]

Press the [MENU] Button to exit the menu.

Confirming the Remaining Tape Time
During recording and playback, the Remaining Tape Time

Indication
is automatically displayed, so you always know
how much time you have left on the cassette. However, to
ensure correct display of the remaining tape time, the tape length
of the cassette being used must be set correctly on the Movie
Camera.
≥When recording or playback starts, the Tape Length Indication
disappears, and in its place the [R] Indication
the remaining tape time is being calculated. A few seconds
later, the Remaining Tape Time Indication appears. ([R] means
Remaining.)
≥When the remaining tape time is less than 2 minutes, the [R]
Indication and the Remaining Tape Time Indication start to
flash.
When you use a cassette bearing the [P] mark
special types of cassettes, the Remaining Tape Time Indication
may not be very precise.

Selección de la longitud de cinta correcta
Para mostrar la indicación de tiempo de cinta remanente
correcto durante la grabación y reproducción se debe ajustar la
longitud de cinta a la del cassette colocado.
Después de seleccionar [TAPE2] en el submenú
[DISPLAY SETUP]... (m 26)

Oprima el botón [SET] para seleccionar el
modo correcto.
≥La longitud de cinta seleccionada aparece con la marca
[1].
≥Las indicaciones de longitud de cinta cambian en el
siguiente orden:
[20]
[220]

Oprima el botón [MENU] para salir del menú.

Confirmación del tiempo de cinta remanente
Durante la grabación y reproducción, la indicación del tiempo de

cinta remanente
aparecerá automáticamente para que sepa
el tiempo de cinta que queda en el cassette. Para que aparezca
correctamente el tiempo de cinta remanente, deberá seleccionar
la longitud correcta del cassette colocado en la videocámara.
≥Cuando empiece la grabación o reproducción desaparece la
indicación de longitud de la cinta, y en su lugar destella la

indicación [R]
mientras que se está calculando el tiempo de
cinta remanente. Unos segundos después aparece la
indicación de tiempo de cinta remanente. ([R] es remanente.)
≥Cuando hay menos de 2 minutos de cinta remanente, la
indicación [R] y el tiempo de cinta remanente empiezan a
destellar.
Cuando utilice cassettes con la marca [P]
especiales, la indicación de cinta remanente puede no ser muy
precisa.
