Attaching the Connection Cable
Figures D + E
Initially push the coupler of the
GB
connecting cable onto the start
switch connector and then sus-
pend the cable in the strain relief
in such a way that the cable is
slightly sagging in the direction
of the starter switch connector.
The cable strain-relief prevents
the electrical plug and socket
connection being disconnected
accidentally. Always unwind the
spare cable completely from the
cable reel and lay it out in large,
loose coils. Insert the plug in the
socket provided for the purpose.
The cable must be routed in such
a way that during mowing it
always lies on the side which
has already been mowed.
The cable must not be squeezed
through doors or windows.
Only ever pull the cable out
of the socket by the plug or
coupling housing.

8. Information Concerning Correct Mowing
General Lawn Care Information
To achieve a manicured lawn,
we recommend mowing once
a week if possible. Frequent cut-
ting strengthens the short stalks
of grass and makes them resist-
ant. Short cuttings (up to about
1 cm in length) can be left on
the ground after cutting. Longer
cuttings must be removed to stop
the lawn turning yellow and mat-
ting.

mower may not be raised when
switching on the mower. If neces-
sary – only place at an angle in
such a way that the cutting
mechanism points in the direc-
tion away from the user.
When the motor is running,
always keep your hands and
feet away from the inner hous-
ing and grass ejector. The mains
connection socket must be fused
with a minimum of 16 A.
To start, push the starter button
with one and press the safety
hoop with the other. After the
motor has started up, release the
start button.
Note:
The appliance can be more

pressure to the guide bar, result-
ing in the appliance being lifted
slightly. If the cutting tool or

by a foreign body, or the motor

plug. Remove the foreign body,

to walk on the lawn. If the grass
has grown too long, cut in one
direction first with a high cutting
height adjustment and then across
this at the required cutting height.
Mowing and Aerating
When aerating and mowing,
we recommend guiding the
lawnmower in lines which are as
straight as possible. The rows
should always overlap by a few
centimetres so that no strips are
left standing. Ensure that you cut
with sharp, perfect blades so
that the blades of grass are not

on a solid base (e. g. tiles,
floor slabs, tarmac or paved
paths, yard entrances etc) with
the aerator roller on and a cut-
ting height set at less than 55 mm,
as the aerator springs will be in
contact with the ground. Ensure
that the blade can run freely
when starting the mower. If nec-
essary, only place at an angle in
such a way that the operating
mechanism points in the direction
away from the user.
Switching Off
To switch the motor off, release
the switch hoop (fig. D, item 14).
The integrated brake will bring
the cutting mechanism to a stand-
still within 3 seconds.

shredded and the lawn does not
turn yellow.
Note:
On slopes the cutting path should
always be across the slope.
The mower can be prevented
from sliding down the slope by
angling it upwards. Do not mow
excessively steep slopes and be
particularly careful if you change
the direction in which you are
mowing on the slope.
Clean the underside of the
mower housing regularly.
Deposits of grass must be
