Bleeding and conditioning
high-pressure rail
Prior to calibration, the high-pressure rail must be com-
pletely bled and conditioned. This involves running the
"Conditioning" test step for approx. 1 hour.
1. Call up the "Protocol" selection menu with <F2>.
2. Pick out the "Select test step" menu.
3. Select the "Conditioning" test step.
 Continue with calibration after roughly 1 hour
(refer to Section 8.7). During this period perform
leak detection in the test oil chamber. Eliminate
any leaks found and continue with conditioning.

Recording measured values
1. Open the "Report" menu by pressing <F2>.
2. Select the "Restart test" menu.
3. Call up the "Measurement functions" selection
menu with <F7>.
4. Select the "Automatic on�off" menu option and
press <F12> to switch on the automatic function.
 The Automatic symbol in the operating status
display flashes.
 The system moves to the set values and the
waiting time or measuring time starts. After the
waiting time or measuring time has elapsed, the
system software automatically changes to the
next test step.

appears, press <F12> to open the report.
6. Print out the report by pressing <F�> and "Print".

ured values on a sheet of paper.

Saving calibration values

From EP software version 2011/A onwards, the
measured values are taken on automatically. Up to
EP software version 2011/A, the measured values
must be transferred manually.
1. Exit from the "Result printout" dialog window with
<Esc>.
2. In the "Injection component test main menu" start
screen select <F7>
 A password request appears.
3. Enter the password in the input line:
4. Confirm the entry with <F12>.
5. Select the menu Calibration >> Rail pressure sensor.
 The measured values obtained in Section 8.7
have automatically been entered in the boxes for
Test bench pressure value, Test bench press.val.
upst.of filter and External pressure value.
6. Input Save with <F�>.
 The calibration date is updated.

Starting check

1. In the "Rail pressure sensor calibration" window,
press <F6>.
 The calibration value check is now active.
2. Press <F12> to save.
3. Quit the menu by pressing <Esc>.
 The system software reinitializes the devices.
