"14 NO EP CART" Message
The 14 NOEP CARTinstiled message occurs when neither of the drum sensitivity switches
(SW301 and SW302) on the Paper Control PCA is activated. When the EP-S Cartridge is
instiled and the Top Cover Assembly is closed, the EP-S Catiridge drum sensitivi~ tabs contact
micro~tches SW301 and SW302 on the Paper Control PCA (see Figure 7-17). The input
from these ~tches is fed directiy to the submicroprocessor on the DC Controller PCA. This
microprocessor uses these signals to regulate laser power output.
