If the printer is not connected to an MS-DOS-based host proceed to Table 7-51 (Communications
Checks).
Test Message
After the printer is in~led,
verify communications be~een the printer and the computer using
MS-DOS by entering the following at the compute~

key and the letter Z simultaneously)

The printer should print a page with the following tea

COMMUNICATIONS OK!"
If the Communications Check fds, proceed as fo~ows.

If the previous check did not produce the desired result, ensure that the AUTOE~C.BAT
file
contains the following statements for serial interface communications:

In sequence, the parameters of this statement means:
